The Norfolk Older People's Strategy - Next steps 2009-2011
In 2005 older people and agencies in Norfolk worked together to produce Norfolk's Older People's Strategy 'Living Longer, Living Well'. It described changes in health, social care, housing and other services, focusing on promoting well-being, choice and enabling older people to remain in control of their own lives. Following this, an Action Plan has now been produced.
New services from Age Concern Norfolk
Age Concern Norfolk is now offering two new services for older people in Norfolk - a Bereavement Advice Service and a Care Home Advocacy Service.
Tenants take the opportunity to become Silver Surfers
As part of national Silver Surfers' Day, held on Friday 15th May 2009, Age Concern Norfolk and Runnymede Sheltered Housing Scheme in Norwich offered older people the chance to try surfing the internet.
