Campaigning

Group of 3 men and 1 women

Campaigning for a better deal for older people is central to the work of Age Concern Norfolk. We do this by participating in local and national campaigns on issues that effect older people. In 2007 Age Concern was voted by MPs as the most effective campaigning organization and this came about because of the involvement of local people as well as the work that is done in Parliament.

Responding to local and national consultations is another aspect of our work and in doing so it is important to reflect what older people locally think.

For both our Campaigning and Consultation responses to be effective we need you to get involved in any of the following ways:

  • Telling us about your experiences – especially where they relate to our current campaigns
  • Tell us about things that are happening to you that are causing you concern, where this is happening to others we will seek to take the issue up both locally and raise it nationally as a potential campaign
  • Join our consultation data base so that you can participate in all of the consultations that we respond to either by telling us what you think or directly responding to the consultation. You can join by simply sending your name, address and telephone number to us using the link below.

Please tell us about your experiences by emailing Eamon McGrath or to register for the consultation database click on the link below:
